ScorecardAndrew McDonald guided South Australia in a strong response to Queensland’s lofty first innings on day two of the Sheffield Shield match at the Adelaide Oval.A stand of 254 between Nick Stevens and Chris Hartley was the major factor in the Bulls’ 8 for 443 declared, a tally that seemed unlikely when Chadd Sayers jagged a hat-trick on the first morning. But McDonald and Mark Cosgrove, playing his first Shield match for SA since returning home from Queensland, enjoyed a fruitful opening union of 126 to set down a platform for the Redbacks. McDonald fell short of a hundred, but Callum Ferguson and Tom Cooper both made starts and will hope for more on day three.
