Friday’s Tottenham transfer roundup discussed a Serie A club’s plan to sign a Spurs defender, terms agreed for a La Liga ace and a blow in the pursuit of a Spain U21 international. Today’s edition focuses on a bid made for a 20-year-old playmaker, an update on a Championship midfielder and interest in a Premier League goalkeeper.
Spurs bid for Zaniolo
Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla is reporting that Tottenham have made a bid to AS Roma for Nicolo Zaniolo. The Lilywhites have apparently lodged an offer of €27m (£24.2m) for the youngster, with Toby Alderweireld also included in the deal. The whole package, therefore, is worth €50m (£44.9m).
Plan made for Phillips
Tottenham are plotting a late-window swoop for Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips according to Football Insider. However, they will only make a move if the 23-year-old’s contract talks with the Elland Road outfit collapse.
Dubravka on radar
The Daily Mail is reporting that Tottenham are interested in signing Newcastle United’s Martin Dubravka. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are just one of several teams after the 30-year-old Slovakian international, with Aston Villa and Manchester United amongst those also mentioned. Dubravka is rated at £12m.
