Ahead of the Cityzens' Carabao Cup third-round fixture against Watford on Tuesday, manager Pep Guardiola opened up on the star player's condition, however, he did not provide a concrete update as the club doctors are still assessing the degree of the midfielder's injury.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the City boss said, "We are still waiting for the decision of the doctors, exactly what he has. When we know it, the club or myself, the spokesman of the club will announce it."
