Having failed in their attempts to sign Monaco’s Brazilian full-back Fabinho, Manchester United have reportedly turned their attentions to Paris Saint Germain defender Serge Aurier.
The 24-year-old, who is valued at £12.75million by Transfermarkt, is seemingly surplus to requirements in Paris, following the arrival of Dani Alves from Juventus. And Manchester United could land the Ivorian for a cut-price deal of around £25million. With Matteo Darmian failing to impress and Antonio Valencia their only truly experienced option at right-back, Aurier could well be a valuable signing.
Jose Mourinho has been keen to improve his squad following a mediocre first season in charge of the famous club. While the club tasted victory in the Europa League and League Cup, they struggled in the Premier League and will be keen to improve their domestic performances this season.
With the arrivals of Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof already exciting the fans, it seems as though a move for Aurier would also go down well with the United faithful…
