Manchester City kicked off their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea with an entertaining 5-3 comeback victory over Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos.
The Cityzens found themselves 2-0 down after just 27 minutes, but bounced back well to turn the tables in time to avoid an early pre-season upset.
They then edged Bayern Munich 2-1 in the Japan National Stadium on July 26, before succumbing to Atletico Madrid by the same scoreline four days later at Seoul World Cup Stadium.
The Premier League champions were undone once again, this time against Arsenal in the Community Shield following a keenly-contested curtain-raiser for the 2023-24 Premier League season at Wembley.
Cole Palmer came off the bench to score a wonderful opener, but but the new rules regarding added-on time were a huge benefit to Arteta's men, as Leandro Trossard's deflected effort in the the 11th minute of second-half injury time sent the game to penalties where Gunners prevailed.

City's pre-season tour squad has finally been announced before their scheduled travel to Tokyo to face the likes of Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid. Fans will be hopeful of catching a glimpse of new signing Mateo Kovacic as well as familiar faces from the Etihad Stadium.
Pep Guardiola's squad features some young guns like Maximo Perrone and James Mcatee combined with the experience of the other treble winners in their squad. Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, and Rodri will all travel to garner some playing time before another crucial season in England's top-flight.
Portuguese defender Joao Cancelo will also return to action wearing Manchester City's jersey. After a shambolic loan spell in Germany, Cancelo would be vying to return back to Guardiola's future plans for next season.
Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez has moved to Saudi Arabia to join Al-Ahli.
