Orjan Nyland joined Aston Villa from FC Ingolstadt in the summer, with the goalkeeper signing a three-year contract at Villa Park.
Villa had Sam Johnstone as their number one stopper last season, with the Englishman representing Steve Bruce’s side on loan from Manchester United.
The club’s failure to secure promotion to the Premier League meant that they were unable to sign Johnstone on a permanent deal, however, which was a tough pill to swallow.
Villa instead moved for Nyland, and it has been a tough start for the stopper, who has conceded 10 times in five Championship matches.

Nyland turned 28 on Monday, and Villa’s official Twitter account was on hand with a special message for the Norway international.
The reaction from the Villa supporters was mixed, however, with some deciding to troll Nyland over his lack of form this season, whilst others were keen to defend him.
