Wrexham striker Paul Mullin's efforts were recognised at the 2024 PFA awards after a stellar season with the Welsh side.

Mullin played a starring role again for Wrexham last season as Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side achieved back-to-back promotions. The striker's efforts have not gone unnoticed either as he was named in the League Two PFA Team of the Year alongside team-mate Elliot Lee. Notts County winger Jodi Jones won the division's Player of the Year award, beating off competition from the Wrexham duo.

Mullin was also named in the PFA League Two Team of the Year in the 2021-22 season while playing for Cambridge United. He may have missed out on the main award this time around but has already scooped the PFA Fans' Player of the Year prize for his performances last season where he scored 24 goals.

Mullin shared his delight at his latest recognition with a post on Instagram. He wrote: "Thanks for a fantastic evening PFA! Such an honour to be named in the League 2 Team of the Year again.

Mullin is still on the comeback trail from surgery but is closing in on a return to full fitness. A return date is yet to be pencilled in, meaning Wrexham will have to cope without their talisman again on Saturday when they take on Reading in League One.
