Discussions regarding fresh terms may be held at some stage, but for now the rumour mill continues to tick over when it comes to Salah’s future. He has seen a move to the Saudi Pro League speculated on, while PSG and Bayern Munich are said to be among his many suitors in Europe.
WHAT AL-KHELAIFI SAID
Quizzed again on the links to Salah at the FIFA Club World Cup draw, PSG’s Qatari supremo Al-Khelaifi told reporters: "I love Salah, also because he came from our part of the world. I am very proud of him, honestly, for what he's done in the Premier League with Liverpool. And I have big respect for him and for Liverpool. So we never talked to him. Respect Liverpool and respect the player – he has a contract with Liverpool and we never talked to him."
AFPDID YOU KNOW?
Al-Khelaifi recently told when pressed on the Salah links: "It’s not true. He’s a fantastic and amazing player, but we’ve never considered him, to be honest. We know every club would love to have him, but this rumour about us is simply not true."
