Anthony Joshua has revealed he has started talks about a "serious investment" in a Championship club.

The heavyweight champion has discussed buying into Watford, his hometown club, and has a vision for them becoming a Premier League club, but says that "nothing has come of it yet".

Joshua said: "That [Watford] was an opportunity that presented itself. Nothing's come of it yet. It's a serious investment. If it comes off it will be one that should do well. And if we don't do it then good luck to them anyway because they're a great team. If they went back to the Premier League I need to get a shop on Market Street because the traffic that will be coming through Watford will be phenomenal."
