According to the reliable @ExWHUemployee on the latest episode of The West Ham Way radio show, West Ham United are potentially looking at a deal to sign Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini this month, and Irons fans have been quick to have their say on the rumour.
Former Hammers boss Slaven Bilic wanted to strengthen his midfield with the addition of Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho during the summer, but a move never materialised.
Now the Croatian’s successor David Moyes is likely to do the same, with the performances of the likes of Pedro Obiang and Cheikhou Kouyate in the middle of the park in recent weeks leaving a lot to be desired, and Fellaini has emerged as a possible target with his contract at Old Trafford due to run out in the summer.
West Ham supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the link, and while one said “he’d be an unreal signing for us”, another said the Belgian is “better than Kouyate for sure”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
