There was a controversial moment during the build-up to Kylian Mbappe's opening goal as many believed Celta were robbed of a penalty the move before the deadlock was broken.

Atletico boss Simeone was not pleased with this decision and later told reporters: "I didn’t watch yesterday’s game. They told me episodes that happened as have been going on for a hundred years. I don’t know what surprises you."

Ancelotti has now hit back at the Argentine coach as he said: "These are things that are said for the gallery. The whole football world is aware of what Real Madrid represents in its 125 years of history. I guess they are thorns that hurt."
