Sun Sport reports the 27-year-old wants to return to the club where he started his career, and Flamengo would also be interested in pursuing a deal. Paqueta left the Rio de Janeiro club in 2019 to move to Milan. Any transfer would obviously depend on the verdict in Paqueta's spot-fixing case. His hearing with the Football Association, which started in March of this year, has finally concluded. It is alleged that the midfielder intentionally received a yellow card in four fixtures during the 2022/23 season, and that his friends placed 60 bets on those outcomes. If he is found guilty, he faces a lifetime ban from the sport.
